Regular physical activity lasting 45 minutes three to five times a week can reduce poor mental health – but doing more than that is not always beneficial, a large US study suggests. A total of 1.2 million people reported their activity levels for a month and rated their mental wellbeing. (more)

Depression affects almost 20 percent of young adults with autism, new research shows, a rate that’s more than triple that seen in the general population. And young adults with autism who were relatively high-functioning —meaning they did not have intellectual disabilities—were actually at higher risk of depression than people with more severe forms of autism, British researchers found.
