Moms – Esther Peverely
One of the oldest struggles that a parent faces from generation to generation is getting their child to eat properly. But when a child has difficulty with having certain textures in their mouths, it make it that much more difficult. Before you get frustrated with your child and tell them their dinner will be waiting for them in the morning, there may be a reason for their distaste that has nothing to do with being a picky eater. What else would they be, you ask? They may suffer from sensory processing issues.

As Halloween approaches, many parents are wondering how to celebrate the holiday with their kids in the age of COVID-19. Contemporary Pediatrics – Rachael Zimlich
The dietary habits of parents affect how children eat, but a new study investigated just how much influence a parent’s food preferences and patterns pass on to their kids. The study, published in Nutrition, used data from the Family Life, Activity, Sun, Health, and Eating Study from 2014.1 The study examined parenting practices and interventions that benefit or harm healthy eating practices in a household. Parents are key to setting the stage for good behaviors, the report concludes.
