The largest study on mental health in children during this pandemic is not completed, and it has a lot to say. A child’s physical health was not the only thing that parents were concerned about when it came to the COVID-19 pandemic. Parents were also growingly concerned with their child’s mental health and the impact the pandemic had on their children. Children had to go through virtual learning, they had to miss their extracurricular activities and go without seeing friends and loved ones. They also had to live with family members and a world that was anxious and a little on edge.

A study was done to look at how the pandemic affected children based on their sex, and it seems that girls have struggle more throughout this pandemic. COVID-19 had an impact on every single person’s life, and the degree of the impact was based on multiple factors. These factors were all individual based on a person’s position in life and their independent lives. However, children were affected greatly, as their schooling was moved to virtual, they had to miss out on playdates and their extracurricular activities were canceled. Studies are still being done to see the exact impact it had on children.
