From the time that kids begin playing sports or games, they are taught to have good sportsmanship. To the extent that they are taught what that means is different for younger kids than older, just because sportsmanship morphs to encompass over time. One theme that stays consistent, regardless of how old kids are is that kids should treat others the way that they would want to be treated. Not only will this serve them well when playing with others but in life in general. However, this just begins to touch the surface on why it is important to teach kids sportsmanship.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is warning that cases of the flu in children is rising across the US. The world has become more hyperaware of the number of infectious diseases and illnesses since COVID-19 started. The pandemic changed the way a lot of people took care of their health and immune system, and this included parents. They started washing their hands more, sanitizing, and wearing a face mask. The goal was to prevent transmission of the virus, but the world may have forgotten about another illness that is just ramping up for the season and that is the flu.
