The battle lines have been drawn when it comes to chore charts. There are those who believe that they work by motivating kids to do their chores and in turn teach responsibility. Others believe the charts do not work because they do not teach kids responsibility at all, but instead to only do their chores if they are getting something out of it. However, if the charts are used to teach kids to think about why it is important to contribute to the household and learn qualities that make for kind adults in the future, the charts may be beneficial for some. This is especially true if little emphasis is put on the reward versus the learning aspect gained from the chart. As such, chore charts can teach responsibility if done properly.

A new report from the Center for Disease Control stated that almost 7% of all US children have suffered a concussion. over the last year. A concussion is a serious head injury and a type of traumatic brain injury caused by a significant bump, blow, or any hard thump to the head that results in the brain and the head being moved quickly back and forth. This causes some level of trauma that will depend on how hard the head was hit.
