Pandemic Severely Impacted Autism Diagnosis & Treatment

The pandemic has had a large impact on the diagnosis and treatment of children with Autism. COVID-19 has impacted the lives of almost every single person in this world, in some way. However, it can be argued that children were impacted the most, especially children who had medical needs either before the pandemic, or that arose during the pandemic. They saw a delay in treatment, and some struggled to get a diagnosis. Now, after two years, we are starting to see just what this impact looked like, how children were affected, and (more importantly) how the world can start to fix this.
