It’s a slippery slope when it comes to kids and screen time. In this 21st century, kids can’t get away from screens even if they wanted to. Kids as young as 5 years old use computers every day in school. The older kids get, the more they use technology in education and for fun every single day. Screen time continues after school with recreational screen time, and before you know it, you have a kid who only wants to be sitting down staring at a screen for hours every day.

A study has found that preschoolers will eat more vegetables when they are rewarded. Mealtime can be one of the most stressful times for mom, as she wants to make sure that her children get all the foods that they need to grow, thrive and develop. However, mom can also be dealing with some picky eaters who may not be keen on the idea of eating vegetables and fruits. They may not like the way they look, smell or the way they taste because they are not used to it, and mom is always on the hunt for ways to get her preschoolers to eat the foods that are good for them.

Children as young as six years old can experience health and heart issues due to being obese. Overweight children are more likely to experience more health issues compared to their average-weight peers. Just like overweight adults, children who are overweight aren’t as healthy as they could be. We often don’t think of young overweight children as at-risk but if a person’s heart is pumping blood for a body with too much extra weight, there will be some strain.
