From a young age, children are taught to eat their veggies and fruit. For most parents, it’s an ongoing battle to ensure their family is eating Health Canada’s recommended servings of vegetables. Vegetables and fruit are a great choice to satisfy hunger throughout the day and provide many health benefits. They are a rich source of vitamins, minerals, fibre and other important plant nutrients. Also, they can decrease the risk of certain types of cancer, heart disease and other chronic diseases. (more)
