A new report is showing that more than one-third of children are sleeping less than what is recommended for their age group. Sleep is incredibly important for everyone, and lack of sleep can have a large impact on a person’s physical and mental health. Children need a lot of sleep because a lot of their growth and development happens when they are sleeping. A child who is not getting enough sleep can have a hard time focusing in class may get sick more often and their wellbeing is just generally not well. It should be a priority for all parents to make sure that their child is getting all the sleep they need.
