Self-control is not a skill that kids are born with. It is something that has to be worked on in order to become proficient. But considering that kids only begin to be able to have self-control between three and a half and four years of age, according to PBS Kids, it takes time to get self-control to the point where taming temper tantrums and the ability to regulate emotionshappen with frequency.
