Consider snacks as part of a child’s diet

How can we help our children eat healthy snacks? What is a healthy snack? When is a good time for snacking? These are some of the questions that we as parents always ask ourselves. Sometimes we consider a snack to be any food that our child eats between meals, regardless of nutritional content. Although snacking can provide a nutritious way to prevent children from being hungry between meals or provide extra nutrition to children who eat small meals, snacks should be considered part of our children’s diet.
