This year the flu has been making an appearance after taking a vacation last year. The US has already seen multiple child cases and even two child deaths which have led to health experts urging parents to get kids their flu shots as soon as possible. In a Today article, it’s reportedthat last year’s flu season was the smallest on record. In fact, it seemed like there wasn’t even a flu season at all. Last year’s lack of flu is being attributed to more stringent COVID-19measures in place at this time last year’s such as mask mandates, social distancing, business closures, and canceled travel plans.
