The AAP has released its flu shot guidance as the western world enters its flu season. Flu season is nothing new to American families, and every year we are encouraged to get our flu shots. However, this is now the second flu season we are about to enter while still dealing with a global pandemic. While the public health guidelines go a long way to protecting everyone against the flu as well, the general guidance has always been to get the flu shot. With schools back in session for in-person learning, parents may be more concerned about their children’s health now than ever.
